Principal’s message
Poroti School is a vibrant small school just 20 minutes west of Whangarei. We are situated in a beautiful rural setting with mature trees, fruit trees, and vegetable gardens which are planted and harvested by the children.

Our school has a long history of sound education and high academic achievement. Catering for different learning styles and nurturing creative, critical and caring thinking are important aspects of our curriculum. Our school caters for children Years 1 to 8.

We offer an environment where family members are always welcome and their concerns valued. Our Parent Teacher Association and Board of Trustees work hard to support our children both inside and outside of the classroom. We also now offer After School Care to help cater for the needs of our community.
