Room 2 Wednesday 22nd April – Mrs Booth

Good Morning tamariki ma!

This week, on Saturday 25th April, we have a special holiday known as Anzac Day. It is one of the many important days in New Zealand’s history and on this day we remember the soldiers who fought in World War 1. Here is a short video with a bit more information.

Did you learn something interesting? What was it?

Phone a Friend Challenge!

One of your challenges today is to call a grandparent, an aunt or uncle, or someone else in your family and share something you learnt about Anzac Day. Perhaps you could ask them what they know about Anzac Day too. Have they ever been to a dawn parade? Have you?

If you’re feeling super clever, you can write down what you know about Anzac Day and share it with me.

Baking Challenge!

Try your hand at baking some delicious Anzac Biscuits at home (you might need some adult help).

Click here for a link to a recipe if you need it.

Don’t worry Mrs Grenfell, you can leave the coconut out if you want!

Let me know how you get on.

Enjoy!
