How to get an online teaching gig: Part 1 – Coddiwomple Diaries

WHAT’S HAPPENING IN ROOM ONE TODAY?

  • See timetable below for meeting in Mrs J’s Google classroom.  Click on the link to enter.
  • READING:  Everyone has a reading assignment in Mrs J’s Google classroom.  Feel free to join the group in class for group work and discussion
  • SPEECHES: We are too dependent on our Devices?  Mrs J’s Google Classroom assignment on Google Slides in preparation for Tuesday class.
  • SPELLING:  Look.Cover.Write. Check.  List 21?  A-Z Kids (10 minutes)
  • ART: Optical Illusion. You need a pencil, sharpie if you have one, paper Click here 3D steps  Don’t lose them as we will  add to this artwork.
  • TECH:  We will be using a Scroll saw  (you may need to research) for cutting out your clocks. Write down safety rules or make a poster either hard copy or online in a google doc listing the safety measures we should take to when using the Scroll Saw. ToolShed Scroll Saw with Rotary Tool

  • Assembly at 9.30 a.m. Click on the invitation Mrs Pye sent you with ‘Whole School Classroom’ or join from your Google Classroom link.  Turn off microphone when asked. Be appropriately dressed as it is school time.
  • Check assignments in Mrs J’s Google classroom for individual or group work.
  • Timetable for Reading in Mrs J’s Google classroom.  Click on the link on front of Mrs J’s classroom page.

QUICKBITES: 

  • Get those AG Day activities underway or started:  Miniature scene, Enviro Sandstone Jars, and Create a recycled Farm animal. Let me know if you need anything from school e.g. shoe box, card, paper, glue, paint. We can organise a contactless collection or delivery. Send email to [email protected]
  • Keep a look out for an unusual container.  This will be needed on the Friday before AG Day. This year it will be tied in with natives.
  • HOMEWORK Book: Unit 1 Work on this during the week.  Work can be marked using answers in the back of the book.  Use your thinking first, before checking the answers. – Tick as you complete the activities in the book.

FOR THOSE WHO WANT MORE. . .

I know some of you want to keep working, and some need some time to explore other things!  For those who want more school learning, but remember to take a break, get some fresh air and then come back.  It’s not good to be on your screen for long periods of time.
