Camp Rotorua Boat Cruise – Life or Death

Boarding the Rotorua boat cruise,  goose bumps creep slowly up my spine.    Nervously,  I stumble to the back of the boat, wary of falling off.  Loudly blurting out of the speakers, Philip says there are 10 active volcanoes under us and that they could erupt at any moment. Around the edge of Lake Rotomahana is filled with little geysers including Little Blacky that erupted while we went past. The water that poured out was very hot,  over 100 Degrees . Some people where so tired  from other  activities before the boat cruise that they fell asleep . The fact that we were sitting on the Pink and White Terraces was amazing, but I also learnt that there was a black terrace on the hill just a little a way from the Pink and White Terraces too.

Thanks for writing about this Boat Cruise Te Hina. It was so relaxing, but scared at the same time with those volcanoes all around.
